The big return!

Hi all,

I felt like revisiting this little gem of a site so here's the latest from me...........

Yesterday I went on a little adventure on my bike to spurn point which is on the east coast about as far east as you can get on the northern bank of the humber. It was soooo great having the sun out. I actually got sun burn on my hands! Spurn point is renowned for its nature reserve of birds and its the only place where a certain type of bird lives (but I wasn't into that stuff so I don't know what it is). It took me about 2 hours to get to the beginning of the point where I had a very satisfying lasagne and chips in a local pub. I then preceeded to cycle down the very bumpy track that led to the end of the point. Its about a mile long and at the end of it there is an amazing beach with beautiful flat sand and total peace in the air. After enjoying the sun for a while I headed back. By the time I got home I had that satisfying sticky feeling of 'I've achieved something today' and after a shower I felt like I was on holiday in Cornwall or something.

Here's a few pics.

And here's Kessie enjoying some flowers ;)

Hi all,

I'm quite excited 'cause I'm going on a training course with Jonathan (my boss) to learn how to use Solidworks (3D modelling program that my company has recently bought). Its in July. I will be commuting to Sheffield by car (Jonathan is driving) and it will be the same hours as I do normally.

There is plenty on over the next few months:

  • I'm going down to St Neots to go to one of Kes' friends wedding on the 16th
  • I'm travelling to Bracknell to go to Becky Redwood's wedding (and also playing in Ziz horns big band that evening at the wedding) on 30th
  • I'm travelling to Teeside on the  7th July with Matt Weedall and others so that we can play for the worship at the newfrontiers church with the other musicians from Teeside that will be playing with us at North 2007 in August.
  • I'm going to York for the weekend of the 20th July with Kes and her mum as a kind of mini holiday.
  • I'm going to Newday with Kes and all the youth from Jubilee church Hull on the 1st August for a week.
  • I'm going to Jason Brown and Louise Bedford's wedding on the 18th August.
  • Then its North 2007 (christian conference at Thirsk in sunny Yorkshire)
So its all happening! I love it though.

Me and Kes are getting on really well. She came to visit the week before last for a week.

I took her rowing:

We spent time in the park:

Its been really nice weather here recently

Hello all!!!

Its been a while huh!.

Life has sped up quite a bit since the last time I blogged that is for sure.

Here's the update:

Work is still really good. The amount of orders has increased at such a pace that it is hard to keep up (to put it mildly). I have been seriously frenzied at work. We now also have the 3D modelling program 'solidworks'. Its very cool!

Church is still growing. We have been getting up to 100 people on a sunday meeting! It is a bit unconsistant as to how many we get at the moment but it is always at least 50 ish.

I have been playing at church and I am also continuing to play bass in the band I joined not all that long ago. All the band are christians. You can check them out on

The drummer is getting married this saturday and Kes is coming to Hull to go to it with me.

The church is having an outreach week with about 12 or so year project young people from various Newfrontiers churches helping us to do social action things like clearing gardens etc.

I am living in my own place now! - 7 Eddlethorpe,
                                                    Buckingham Street,
                                                    Hull
                                                    HU8 8TU

I am renting from a family who own a few houses in Hull and they go to my church. They are originally from Kent and they felt called to be in Hull.

My new place is nearer to work so its only a 5 min cycle ride now .

I haven't been rowing for about 3 months now. Its a bit crazy fitting everything in and weekends is the only oportunity to row. The thing is, the tide has to be right, the students have to be 'not on holiday or study leave', I am not always in Hull on the weekends and other events seem to be cropping up left right and centre. Before you know it, 3 months have flown by! Oh well.

I'm still keeping relatively fit with my cycling and occasional runs and weights that I have at home.

Here's a more recent pic of me and Kes.

All the best to all my readers!

Tim

Hey,

This weekend my parents and my girlfriend Kez came to visit. They got to Hull on friday evening and we all explored Hull and generally had fun and relaxation. It was hard going back to work this morning.

Here is a picture of me and Kez for those who haven't met her yet.

Heylo!

I've just come back from my second skiing trip this year! It was organised by Dave Fellingham from Brighton. It was really great with plenty of snow and loads of sun. I even got sun burn on my ears! It was great seeing the guys from CCK and being able to just relax with a beer in the middle of the French Alps.
